Permanent, part-time role at 0.8 FTE based in Sion House in Warragul, a short walk from the Warragul Railway Station and a commutable distance from Melbourne.

About the Role
The Catholic Diocese of Sale is seeking a qualified Accountant to assist the Diocesan Business Manager in the day-to-day financial operations of the Diocese and its associated entities.
This is a permanent part time role of 30 hours per week with flexible days to be negotiated. The salary for the successful candidate will be based on experience, education and skill level.
About You
As the Operations Accountant, you will demonstrate the key selection criteria outlined in the Position Description, including:

• Strong organisational and communication skills including:
A demonstrated experience in analysing problems, identifying and initiating workable solutions, within the typical constraints of limited resources and skills in the organisation.
Effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines to achieve desired outcomes whilst maintain attention to detail.
High level written, electronic and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise efficiently and effectively with relevant Diocesan stakeholders.
Willingness to seek, listen to and act upon advice.
Sound ability to work through and find solutions to problems.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• A capacity to work independently with appropriate guidance.
• Experience in working with Xero, MYOB and Excel.
• At a minimum the ability to prepare financial information monthly to trial balance stage.
