This eleventh Sunday of ordinary time Jesus uses the parables of seeds and mustard seed. Sometimes He quotes Scriptures and sometimes He quotes creations, though He is able to bring spiritual messages. The message today is the spiritual seed, which is already planted in our lives by God, and even the smallest seed of spirituality will grow in us and bring shelter for many. In our lives there will be lots of ups and downs but we should not give up the faith in God and His plans so, trust in the plans of God for us. There was a story that goes like this.

Once upon a time, a water bearer had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole that he carried across his neck. One pot had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years, this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots of water to his master's house. The perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, but the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived as bitter failure, the cracked pot spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to the master." The bearer asked, "What are you ashamed of?" The pot replied, "I'm ashamed that I can't hold all the water you pour into me. I leak and spill and waste water every day."

The water bearer smiled and said, "Did you notice that there are flowers along the path on your side of the road, but not on the perfect pot's side? That's because you've been watering them, little by little, every day. You may not be perfect, but you're still useful and making a difference in your own way." You are God of small things so God will make differences through your life.

Dear friends in Jesus Christ, every creation of God has its own speciality. We may think that we are small, useless, cracked and abandoned by others, but in the sight of God we all are equal and unique. He can make the changes in our lives for that we must give ourselves to the hands of God. In today’s gospel through the parable of mustard seed Jesus is reminding us that nothing is impossible to God. Even the smallest mustard seed can become a shelter for many that means God can make miracles through our lives. So, we are called to become His seeds, find God's seed in our lives and be an instrument of God then He will make wonders through our lives. Because nothing is impossible to God.
