On June 18th, 20 catechists and friends gathered at Sion House, Warragul for a spirituality day conducted by Michael Hansen.
During the day we explored the meaning of spirituality and how do we nourish our own. We looked at our spiritual experiences through awe and wonder, hearing a voice or receiving a message, the inner world of creativity, a singular sense of self identity and self-worth. Also the experience of intense feelings for the world and for others and a profound experience of closeness to the Divine.
We also spent time looking at markers of a distinctive and Aussie Spirituality.
The day concluded with a ritual where we shared our own spiritual experiences in prayer.
