In a remarkable visit that filled the hearts of parishioners with joy, grace, and blessings, Bishop Greg Bennet graced our parish communities, leaving an indelible impact on all who encountered him. Throughout his visit, he engaged with various educational institutions, councils, and congregations, fostering a deeper connection and inspiring reflection on our shared mission of spreading the Gospel.

Bishop Greg made a memorable trip to St Laurence's Primary School, Mary Mackillop College, and St Joseph's Primary School during his visit. With warmth and enthusiasm, he interacted with principals, staff, and students, immersing himself in the vibrant learning environments of these educational institutions. His presence brought encouragement and spiritual guidance, igniting a sense of faith and purpose among the young minds of our community.

The Bishop's engagement extended beyond the classroom walls. He met with parish councils and finance councils from both parishes, engaging in meaningful discussions about our collective visions and missions in spreading the Gospel to wider communities. His wisdom and guidance provided valuable insights, invigorating our commitment to actively live out our faith and be agents of positive change.

The highlight of his visit was the celebration of weekday and weekend Masses, where Bishop Greg led us in prayer and reflection. In his homilies, he shared insights, urging us to be workers and not the Master Builder, prophets for the future. He emphasized the importance of nurturing the seeds of the Word of God in our lives, ensuring that we provide good soil for them to bear fruit in our own personal journeys. His words resonated deeply, inspiring us to embrace our unique callings and contribute to the fruitful advancement of God's plan in our lives. Developing the themes of the synod on synodality, he encouraged all to focus on community, participation and mission.
The community remains grateful for this unforgettable opportunity to be close to Bishop Greg. The joy, grace, and blessings he brought to our parish communities will undoubtedly fuel our collective journey of faith and inspire us to be the bearers of God's love to the world.
