Villa Maria Catholic Homes (VMCH), Shanagolden was honoured to welcome Bishop Greg Bennet on Wednesday, 31st July, for a special anointing Mass celebrated with the Aged Care and Retirement Living residents. The morning was filled with joy and community spirit as over 80 attendees gathered for this significant occasion.

reg. The dedicated Shanagolden volunteers contributed to the ceremony by assisting with the readings and providing beautiful organ music, creating a truly uplifting atmosphere.

This visit from Bishop Greg was eagerly anticipated by the residents, who always cherish the opportunity to partake in the Anointing Mass. The celebration was also attended by the VMCH Chairman of the Board, Julien O’Connell, along with members of the Executive, Management, Staff, and

 families of the Shanagolden community.

Following Mass, residents enjoyed engaging in warm conversation with Bishop Greg, and a group photo was taken to mark this special day.
