On March 21st twenty four catechists representing 11 parishes from around the Diocese gathered at Sion House for the annual Catechist gathering and Eucharist.
Dr. Elissa Roper was the facilitator for the two sessions. Her topics were “Pope Francis and Synodality: What it means for us” and “Missionary Discipleship in our homes and parishes”. These two presentations gave the catechists a new insight on synodality and what it means. There was a lot of interaction and questions.
Father Bernard Buckley VG celebrated Eucharist with us and the catechists made their annual commitment and certificates were presented to those who have done professional learning throughout the year.
