Diocesan Archives

The Diocesan Archives role is to:

• Preserve and manage the records of the Diocese of Sale
• Continue collecting historical material from across the Diocese.
• Digitise our most significant documents to minimise damage to fragile records
• Document our journey of faith so that it is available for future generations.

Every effort is made to assist researchers; however, it is advised that all enquiries must be accompanied by an Application for Access providing details of the records to be utilised.

Here are the access conditions for the Archives.

The completed form can be returned by email to the Bishop or by post to the Diocesan Archivist at the Chancery.
